Colfax BRT + Denver Water Updates
Colfax BRT Update
Colfax Bus Rapid Transit construction is ahead of schedule and will start in our area on June 30. The construction zone will be from Eudora to Holly.
- Construction will occur in the center of Colfax, with traffic lanes open on the north and south sides.
- Construction of BRT stations will occur at Elm Street and Hudson Street.
- Most of the time, on-street parking will be available between Filbert and Grape Street, except when work is being done on intersections.
- No on-street parking will be allowed in the station area construction zones for safety reasons, from Eudora to Fairfax Street and Grape Street to Ivy Street.
- Parking will be available on side streets.
- Access to sidewalks and business entrances will be maintained at all times.
- Work in the center lane will be underway for 3-4 months. After that, work will focus on the north and south sides of the street, sidewalks and intersections.
- The construction team is applying lessons learned in Segments 1 and 2 to phase the work to minimize impacts to business operations, and to make as much on-street parking available as is safe and feasible.
Please see the flier here for more info. The project team is going door-to-door to notify businesses and work with them on operational concerns.
